Fast, Slow, Spin is the 16th episode of the first season in the series A Little Curious, and is the 16th in total. It aired on May 17, 1999. It focuses on subjects of the words fast, slow, and spin.

Segments[]

Fast Ball (Cel)[]

Plush is on a baseball field and spins his arm around to get ready to throw Bob.

Get There Fast! (CGI)[]

Bob, Little Cup, Mr. String, and Plush race to the sandbox, and whoever gets there last is a rotten egg. This worries Mr. String and he hurries, but everybody passes him and he loses and becomes a smelly rotten egg, that he states will last a long time.

A Little Reality[]

In this segment, kids race to the finish line.

Slow Ball (Cel)[]

A sequel on Fast Ball, this time Plush throws Bob in very slow motion.

Slow and Steady Wins the Race (Cel)[]

Bob, Mary Jane, Little Cup, and Lacey are running in a race, but Mary Jane complains that she's so slow and can't be fast. Pad and Pencil tell her the story of the Tortoise and the Hare, and how the tortoise challenged the hare to a race and won when the hare took a nap. Pencil asks if she understands the moral of the story, and she says "you snooze, you lose" and runs off.

A Little Reality[]

A turtle moves at a slow and steady pace across the floor.

The Mr. String song "Doing the Thin Thing" is played.

Spinning Top (CGI)[]

Mr. String says a top is the greatest toy in the world because it takes a string to make it spin. He makes it spin around, and then it tangles onto him and he spins around with the top as well.

In this segment, some girls play with spinning tops.

Put a Spin on It (Cel)[]

In the third short of the Plush baseball series, this time he twists himself and spins around, throwing Bob in a spinning motion as well.

Fast Car (Live Action/Puppetry)[]

A puppet of Plush is poking out of a car window and enjoying the fast car ride, with a chorus singing.

Fast Eater (CGI)[]

Mop pours Plush a bowl of dog food, and he comes in and eats it really fast. She pours another bowl, but quickly picks it up and tells him not to eat too fast or he'll get a tummyache, and informs him to eat it slowly to savor the taste of the food, and he agrees. But when she puts it down, he eats it all fast again. Mop says the chat went nowhere fast.

A Little Reality[]

A Chinese acrobat is spinning some plates.

Spin the Tail on the Donkey (CGI)[]

Mop tells Bob, Plush, and Little Cup they're playing pin the tail on the donkey. Bob goes first and spins around with a blindfold and the donkey tail, but he pins it on the chair. Plush goes next, but he pins it on himself. Little Cup goes last, and he pins it exactly on the donkey's behind. Bob wonders how he did it, and he says he peeked.

This segment features kids spinning in the autumn.

Slow Down (Live Action/Mixed Media)[]

Mop, Doris, Bob, Little Cup and Mr. String sing "Feelin' Groovy", originally by Paul Simon and Art Garfunkel, over footage of kids doing slow-paced activities.

Fast Food (Cardboard Cutouts)[]

Mr. Shoe, is "in the mood for fast food", so he, Lacey and Mary Jane drive to the fast food restaurant, passing by an amusement park on the way. As they arrive, it turns out they aren't the only ones who want fast food as there is a very long line at the drive-thru.

Slowpoke (CGI)[]

Little Cup and Bob are playing cowboys. As they run over a hill, Bob calls Little Cup a slowpoke, which upsets him, thinking Bob is going to poke him. Bob explains that a slowpoke is really someone who moves really slow. As they come to a big puddle, Bob jumps right through it and calls Little Cup a slowpoke again, upsetting him once more. Bob says he'll never poke his sidekick. As they come to another puddle, Little Cup catches up to Bob as fast as he could and says he's a fastpoke now and happily hops home.
