Masterclass is a nine-part documentary series focusing on a unique program that gives high-school students who aspire to careers in the arts access to some of the most luminary artists in the world.
Each year, the National Foundation for Advancement in the Arts' "YoungArts" program selects 150 teenagers (from an applicant pool of over 7,000) to travel to Miami and participate in workshops. Masterclass chronicles the rare opportunity offered to those accepted in the program: a chance to meet and work with legends in the fields where they aspire to become legends themselves.
Each 30-minute episode features a different artist, including Placido Domingo, Liv Ullmann, Jacques d'Amboise, Julian Schnabel, Frank Gehry, Bill T. Jones, Michael Tilson Thomas, Olafur Elliason and Edward Albee.
