(Intro sequence)
Bob (off-screen): Starring... Mop, Mr. String, The Shoe Family, Doris the Door, Little Cup, Plush, Pad and Pencil, and me, Bob the Ball! Today, we're a little curious about.. Swing, Cover, and Shake!
(Reading title card): Swing on a Swing.
(Cut to a swing set, where the camera is panning across at the characters swinging around)
Singers: Swing on a swing, I'm swinging on a swing! (Swing, swing, swing) Swing on a swing, on a swing is the thing!
Pad: Darling, oh near one, oh dear one..
Pencil: Swing to me, my love.
Little Cup: Weeeee! (Splat) Ooops! Hmmhmmhhmm!
Singers: Swing on a swing, I'm swinging on a string!
Mr. String: Woahh..
Singers: Swing on a swing, on a swing is the thing!
Mr. String: Yeesh! I hate swings! Ohhhoho.. I really, really, haaatttee swings! Terrible, terrible!
(Cut to Doris)
Doris: What, you think I can't swing? Watch this!
(She swings her door around and closes it)
Hah hah!
(Cut to live action segment with kids swinging around at a park. At the end, they leave one by one until one child is still swinging around)
Bob (reading title card): The Swing.
(Cut to a doodle of a girl on a swing)
Pad: The Swing, by Robert Louis Stevenson. Illustrated by Pencil. (He jumps on and bows) How do you like to go up in a swing, up in the air so blue?
(Pad opens herself and Pencil starts doodling)
Oh, I do think it the pleasantest thing ever a child can do. Up in the air, and over the wall, till I can see so wide. River and trees, and cattle and all, over the countryside. Till I look down at the garden green, down on the root so brown. Up in the air, I go flying again. Up in the air, and down.
(Pencil stops doodling and pants)
That was beautiful, darling.
Pencil: Not half so beautiful as you, my love.
(Pad wraps him around her and kisses him)
Bob (reading title card): Under the Covers.
(Cut to Little Cup laying in bed)
Mop: Close your eyes, and count your sheep. Stay under the covers, and go to sleep. (She places the blanket over him) Good night, Little Cup. (Kisses)
Little Cups: Good night, Mop. (Closes eyes).
(Mop turns off the light and hops into a chair with a book)
Mop: Little Red Riding Mop was lost in the woods, would she ever find her way to Grandmop's house? Suddenly, a big, bad...
Little Cup: Mop! I'm thirsty!
Mop: Hmm.. okay!
(She gets up. Transition back to the bed)
Close your eyes, and don't make a peep, stay under the covers and go to sleep. (Places blanket over him) Okay?
Little Cup: Okay.
Mop: (Smooches) Good night, Little Cup. (Turns off light)
Little Cup: Good night, Mop.
(Cut back to the chair)
Mop: Little Red Riding Mop was lost in the woods, would she ever find-
Little Cup: Mop!
(Cut to him jumping around)
I gotta go potty!
Mop: Hmmm... coming.
(Mop hops up. Transition back to bed)
Now this is a promise I want you to keep, stay under the covers and go, to, sleep!
Little Cup: Okay Mop, I promise. Good night.
(Mop kisses him and turns the light off again. Cut back to the chair)
Mop: Hahhh... Little Red Riding Mop was lost in the woods-
Little Cup (off-screen): Mop!
Mop: Little Cup, you promised to stay under the covers!
Little Cup (off-screen): I am under the covers! (Pan to him under his blanket outside the room)
Mop: Ugghhhh!
(Cut to a red plaid blanket tossed in the air)
Bob (off-screen): Bed cover..
(A hand rubs it. Next a flower cover flies)
Flower cover..
(A hand rubs it. Next a cover with kitten patterns flies)
Kitty cover..
(A hand rubs it, and a hand also rubs a colorful patterned cover, and a purple and blue pattern. A tie dye cover flies and lands)
Pretty cover..
(Pan out to a bed in the grass, three kids get out of the cover and jump on the bed)
They're covered with covers!
Mr. String: Light. Definitely, light.
(Cut to The Shoe Family title card)
Bob (off-screen): The Shoe Family song!
Mr. Shoe (singing): Once a comfy pair of wingtips, a bachelor shoes..
Mrs. Shoe: Met a classy pair of pumps with a point of view.
Mr. Shoe: Mmm, he liked her whiff.
Mrs. Shoe: And she liked his style.
Mrs. and Mr. Shoe: It wasn't long before they walked down the aisle. (The two walk down a "path") And they had a pair of sneakers...
Lacey: Lacey!
Mrs. and Mrs. Shoe: ...was her name. And some tiny shiny T-straps...
Mary Jane: Mary Jane!
All: They're the.... shoo bee doo bee doo bee doo bee doo, Shoe Family. Shoo bee doo bee doo bee doo doo, Shoe Family! They walk and talk and they hop, skip, and jump! Shoo bee doo bee doo, Shoe Family!
Mrs. Shoe: Mrs. Shoe is neat and always in control.
Mr. Shoe: True, and Mr. Shoe adores her with his heart and soul.
Mary Jane: Mary Jane will always burst her sister's bubble.
Mary Jane and Lacey: But they sure they pull together when they get into trouble.
Mr. Shoe: Uh oh.
All: They're the.... shoo bee doo bee doo bee doo bee doo dow, Shoe Family.
Mr. Shoe: Shoo bee doo, shoo bee doo doo!
All: Shoe Family!
Mrs. Shoe: They walk and talk and they hop, skip, and jump.
Mary Jane and Lacey: Footloose and fancy free.
Mr. Shoe: Here we go!
All: You'll get a kick out of the shoo bee doo bee doo bee doo bee doo, Shoe Family!!
Bob (reading title card): Shake it Off.
(Cut to the bathroom. Mop and Mr. String pull open a shower curtain)
Mop: Okay Plush, get out of the tub, very, slowly.
Mr. String: (Turns into megaphone) Put your paws on the mat! Repeat! Paws on the mat! No sudden movements!
(Plush gets out slowly)
Mop: Very nice. Good job, now wait while here while I get the towel, and whatever you do, don't sh- (Mr. String interrupts her)
Mr. String: Don't even say the word.
Mop: What word?
Mr. String: You know, the thing we definitely, definitely, don't wait him to do because if he does it we're definitely gonna be really sorry!
Mop: Do what?
Mr. String: THE SHAKE!
(Plush smiles and shakes all the water off, leaving Mop and String dripping wet)
Mop: Oh, that.
(Plush exits the bathroom which ends the segment. Cut to live action segment where many dogs are shaking themselves on the beach)
Bob (reading title card): Cover Your Eyes.
(Cut to playground slide)
Bob: Not it!
Little Cup: Not it!
Mary Jane: Not it!
Lacey: Not it!
Mr. String: Not it!
(Plush slides down)
Lacey: Plush is it.
Mary Jane: Again?
Mr. String: Hide and seek, Plush. You cover your eyes and count to ten, and everyone hides.
(Bob and Little Cup jump off the slide)
Bob: Yay!
Mr. String: Oh, right, you don't know how to count. Okay, you cover your eyes and I'll count. One, two, three..
Mary Jane and Lacey: Hey, he's peeking!
Mr. String: Oh, boy! Now the rules say you must cover your eyes all the way, that means no peeking. Peeking ruins everything! Now if you peek, the game will stop, everyone will stand still, and their feet will get moldy, and smell like stinky cheese! You gotta cover your eyes, understand?
(Plush nods and covers his eyes with his ears)
Okay, good, good! Very good, I'll count for you now. Okay, one, two...
(The characters all scatter)
Bob: Let's hide!
Mr. String: Three, four, five, (Little Cup hides behind the swings) six..
Bob: I'm gonna hide below the sand.
(He burrows into the sandbox)
Mr. String: Seven, eight..
(Lacey climbs a tree)
Lacey: I'll hide above.
Mr. String: Nine, ten! Ready or not! (Plush uncovers his face) Now, you go find someone, and tap them, go!
(Plush looks around and taps Mr. String)
Ohhh...
(Cut to a bird's eye view of children walking around with yellow raincoats on with umbrellas. The children are catching raindrops with tounge. The kids jump in rain puddles)
Bob (off-screen): They're below the umbrellas.
(More bird's eye shots)
And covered with raincoats.
(More puddle jumping)
The rain's falling from above!
(More shots which eventually end the short. Cut to Little Cup title card)
Here comes a song about Little Cup!
(A kitchen cabinet opens, and Little Cup comes walking out, but he falls)
Little Cup: Whoops, uh oh...
Pad and Pencil: Little Cup! Little Cup, Little Cup, woahhh! Little Cup!
(Little Cup walks more and trips)
Little Cup: Whoops, uh oh...
Pad and Pencil: Little Cup!
(Mr. String drops down)
Little Cup: Hello, Mr. String!
Mr. String: If he toddles any faster, there will surely be disaster! (Little Cup walks into him) Oh boy, Little Cup!
Doris: If you fill him, up with juice, (Little Cup walks out of her) someone tell me what's the use? Oh, Little Cup!
(Little Cup enters the sandbox)
Little Cup: Hello, everybody!
Bob: Call his name and he starts to giggle.
Mary Jane: Tickle him...
Lacey: And watch him wiggle!
(Little Cup falls)
Little Cup: Whoops!
Mary Jane and Lacey: Uh oh, Little Cup!
Little Cup: Whoooops! (He trips and gets a flower wet) Whoops, uh oh...
Mop: When he tries to keep from messing..
(Little Cup sneezes and splats juice on Mop's painting)
He will always keep you guessing...
(Cut to Mop's flower painting that has a juice splatter)
All: Whoops, uh oh, Little Cup.
(Little Cup walks off and falls off the background)
Little Cup: Whoops!
Bob (reading title card): Swinging with Mr. String.
(Mr. String is seen against a wall stretching into his normal shape, and into a line many times, going "ooh" and "ahh!". Eventually, he shows he's attatched to a yo-yo)
Mr. String: Look at me! I'm a yo-yo! (He stretches down to the sidewalk) Walk the dog! Weeee! Ahhahh! Swing the baby! Ooh, weee!
(He rolls down on the sidewalk again. End of segment. Cut to a live action segment with a pinata swinging from a tree)
Bob (off-screen): The pianta's swinging!
(A boy raises a bat)
Swing the stick to try to hit the pianta.
(Various kids hit it over and over)
Swing it!
(A hit breaks it open, and the kids crouch down to get the candy piles)
Bob (reading title card): Milk Shake.
(Cut to Little Cup on a table. Milk, pink ice cream, strawberries, and ice cubes fall inside him as he shakes around)
Singers: Shake it! Shake it! Shake it slow, shake it quick, shake it up 'till it's nice and thick! Shake your milk, shake your cup! Make a milkshake, drink it up!
(A straw goes inside him as he stops spinning. Pan to Bob who is drinking it and he also shakes around)
Shake it! Shake it! Shake it!
Bob (reading title card): Shake Down.
(Plush enters a gate while sniffing, when he spots an apple on a top of the tree. He hops up but misses the apple, and hops up a couple of more times. He shakes the tree around which makes his head spin around. Plush lowers his ears and stands on them and reaches up to the apple, and tries to pull it off using his feet, but he gets himself twisted and falls. The apple falls on his head, and a whole mountain of apples fall. Another tree falls on Plush, and he throws it on his head and bites it. End of segment)
Bob (reading title card): Undercover Cup.
(Bob hops from behind the toaster on a kitchen counter, with a cowboy hat)
Bob: The name's Ball, Bob the Ball.
(Little Cup hops on with sunglasses)
That's my partner, they call him Undercover Cup. We're hot on the trail of the missing chocolate cookie.
Little Cup: Where's the cookie?
Bob: Shh! Little Cup, we're undercover, that means we gotta sneak around and hide, so nobody can see us!
Little Cup: 'Kay. (whispering) Where's the cookie?
Bob: Let's check in that bowl. (He hops in a blue fruit bowl) Ahh hmmm!
Little Cup: What, what? (Hops up) Wh-whooops! Ewwwwww!
Bob: Shhh! We're undercover, remember?
Little Cup: Oh yeah, ewww..
Bob: Come on, let's look for the cookie in the bread box!
(Bob opens the bread box and hops in. Little Cup follows as the door slowly closes)
Little Cup: Uh oh!
Bob: Don't worry Cup, I got you covered! (He lifts it up) Hmm, maybe it's over there. (off-screen) Psst, Little Cup, I found the chocolate cookie!
Little Cup: Where?
(Pan up to the cookie jar where Bob comes out, with chocolate all over his face)
Bob: Under the cover! (Winks and laughs)
Bob (reading title card): Cover it Up.
(Plush walks over to a mushroom plant with a bee flying by it, where right next to it is Doris slurping a drink. Plush stretches down and starts to yawn)
Doris: Plush! (singing) Cover it, cover it, cover it up! Cover your mouth when you yawn, please! Thank you.
(Plush swallows the bee)
Plush! Cover it, cover it, cover it up! Cover your mouth when you cough, please! Thank you.
(Plush coughs out the bee and makes a part of the plant fall on his nose, making him start to sneeze)
Plush! Cover it, cover it, cover it up! Cover your mouth when you sneeze, please!
(He inflates himself up and sneezes loudly)
Bless you.
Singers: Cover it, cover it, cover it up, cover it up when you..
(Doris burps)
Please.
(Plush gives her a dissatisfied look)
Bob (reading title card): Covered with Kisses.
(Cut to Bob on a stool in Mop's room with a boo boo. He groans, which is heard by Mop)
Mop: What is it, Bob?
(A tear from Bob's eye falls)
Did you get a boo boo?
Bob: Mmhmm..
Mop: You need some first aid. (She slides off and comes back on screen with a nurse hairstyle) I got just the thing, a big kiss, mwah, and a Band-Aid. All better?
Bob: Mmm, mmm.
Mop: Maybe you need more first aid. Here's another: mwah! (Another bandage appears) Now, is that all better?
Bob: Mmm, mmm!
Mop: Oh, you are so right. We have to cover all the boo boos! (She kisses him again, and makes another bandage come). Now you're covered with Band-Aids. Mwah, mwah, mwah, mwah, mwah, mwah, mwah! And now you're covered with kisses!
(Bob giggles)
Bob: Today, we were a little curious about.. Swing, Cover, and Shake!
(Closing recap which shows snippets from the episodes again, leading into the credits)
