They imagine they are on docks of Spain, after he had arrived with trophies from the New World. Isabella scolds him to bring back gold and spices, after he got corn. Columbus brings out spices, which is pepper that makes Isabella sneeze. Isabella sends Columbus to the dungeon. George then wants to be someone else. Martha tells Mr. Peacock that she wants to be someone else, flowing and romantic, so he brings out Romeo and Juliet.
Martha is happy, but George thinks the hat of his costume is missing, so he takes a feather from the peacock to place on his hat. Though, George also has trouble putting his tight pants on. They also imagine themselves in the Revolutionary War. George demands help from Martha to help him up on the horse, so he climbs up her, and she complains that he's getting boot prints on her dress. Nevertheless, he gets up, but the horse's body wilts. However, the scene goes back to reality where Oscar and Wilde scold George for ruining their horse costume. George believes that this costume is also ridiculous. Mr. Peacock asks who are the two people that they admire in the history of the world, which gives them both an idea.
At the costume ball, Oscar and Wilde greet themselves as both are dressed up as Frankenstein and Count Dracula, respectively. Bud and Valerie are also dressed up as Tweedledum and Tweedledee, and Duke and Anton are respectively Napoleon and Long John Silver. George and Martha arrive, seemingly without a costume, however, George is actually dressed up as Martha, while Martha is actually dressed up as George. The two pretend to argue, and make up. After George's fake tooth falls out revealing his golden tooth, their friends realize that they are dressed up as each other. Everyone then dances. The winners of the costume ball, are declared George and Martha, and they get the trophy.
