Trip, Viaje[]

One snowy day, a taxi arrives at Perro and Gato's house, which wakes Perro up. He takes a fast shower and reminds Gato that today they are going on a trip (viaje). However, Gato, who is still trying to sleep, hasn't packed yet. Perro gets him a suitcase (maleta) and Gato just drops into it. Perro informs him that his things go in the suitcase, not him, and so he throws Gato's things into the suitcase and also gets a camera (camara) to take a picture. He tells Gato to smile (sonrie) and takes his kooky picture. The last thing Perro gets are sunglasses (gafas de sol), and now the duo look like tourists (turistas).

Now Perro needs their tickets (boletos), but they can't seem to be found until Perro finds them under Gato's bottom. Now they are ready to go. Gato briefly falls asleep on his suitcase and begins dreaming about him and Perro doing things while on vacation while he is dozing, until Perro wakes him up outside, saying it's time to go. Gato inquiries if the only thing they'll do on vacation is nap.

Vacation, Vacaciones[]

Perro, and Gato, ride the taxi to the airport, as they are riding on an airplane (avion). Gato spots ice cream and gets glued to the window. Perro tries to pull him off, telling that they are going to miss their flight if they sit and eat. He pulls him off but Gato then gets stuck on a man's suitcase as the man is carrying a hamburger bag, and then when he gets pulled off the suitcase he gets glued to a pole in the airport cafe. but Perro tells him that there is lunch on the plane.

He jumps on the luggage belt and moves with the suitcases, calling it fun (divertido). Perro tells him to wait (espera) as the conveyor belt is not for passengers (pasajero), only for the luggage. The two then board their plane which arrives in Texas. As soon as they walk out Gato is already bored at the old-timey town they're in. Perro says they must dress as cowboys (vaqueros). Perro, and then Gato, get cowboy attire and sing a song with other cowboy dogs and cats. A train (tren) stops by, and rather because Gato is hungry, the two hop on board. The train is heading to Los Angeles, and Perro couldn't be more appreciated as they might see a movie star (estrella de cine) and they get to eat Mexican food. Gato questions "Are we there yet?" ("Ya llegamos?") multiple times, much to the irritation of Perro. Perro chooses to go to sleep (dormir), so the two head into the bunk beds (camas literas). Perro asks Gato if he would like to sleep on the top (arriba) or on the bottom (abajo). Gato takes the top and Perro takes the bottom, even though Gato's weight barely makes the bed above sink.

The train eventually reaches Hollywood the next day. On a mountain, Gato looks in binoculars and sees a fish market. Perro decides that they should go on a tour and get into a nice taxi car (auto) that has unusual wheels that rock the car around while driving. They see all kinds of things in California such as the Chinese Theater, Santa Monica Pier, Beverly Hills, and Hollywood Sign while it is fun for Perro, Gato ends up getting nauseous after the ride in the end. Perro and Gato reach a taco seller and Gato gets a good quantity of tacos, making the seller sell out when Perro tries to order one.

Manners, Modales[]

Gato finds a chocolate cake sitting on a table, and reaches for it, but Perro says Gato's name which makes him hit the table, causing the dishes and silverware to land on the nearby dinner table perfectly and the chocolate cake land in Gato's hands. Perro exits the kitchen and takes the cake from him, asking if he is ready for dinner (cena). Perro unveils that they are having paella, a dish with seafood and rice. Gato floats to the dish, mesmerized by the smell until Perro closes the dish to inform Gato that before they eat, they must wash their hands (manos).

They go to the sink and Perro gives Gato a bar of soap (jabon) that is very slippery, then he turns on the water (agua), and puts his hands under the water, causing it to reflect into Gato's mouth, and then gives Gato a towel (toalla) that covers his face. Perro declares "Let's eat!" ("Vamos a comer!") . Gato rushes to the table and makes a bowl of salad splat on him. Perro tells him to use a napkin (servilleta) and wipes his face. He then gets the pan of paella and uses his hand to shovel it into his plate, although Perro reminds him to use his fork (tenedor). Gato scoops it all up and stuffs his face, but Perro gets another pan full and tells him to eat slowly (despacio), and not to talk with his mouth (boca) full. He fetches the cake and tells him to use good manners or no dessert. This gets Gato, so with a lamp transition, he turns the place into a fancy restaurant with himself dressed fancy. He tells Perro to sit still and cuts a slice of cake for Perro, and then eats the whole rest himself.

Sharing, Compartir[]

Gato tries to get a jar of cookies up on the fridge, when suddenly Perro comes in with a surprise (sorpresa) package he got from his brother. He opens it and it is a skateboard (patineta). Perro and Gato go outside and Perro gives it a test run, then he tells Gato that because he is his best friend (mejor amigo), he should ride the skateboard first. But Gato is frightened after seeing how steep the hill they are on is. Perro is insistent and puts a helmet (casco) on Gato's head, but he tells Perro to stop (detente) as he is messing up his fur. After he fixes it, Perro apologizes with "I'm sorry" ("lo silento"), telling Gato that you say sorry when you hurt one's feelings.

Gato is now ready to go skating down the hill. Perro hops on as well, saying they shall go together (juntos). As they roll down Perro is having lots of fun, and so is Gato even if he still has a scared expression on his face. Afterward, Perro and Gato reach a vending machine and Perro asks if he would like grape soda, lemonade, or apple juice. After some quick thinking, Gato chooses a can of lemonade, and Perro chooses a can of apple juice. Perro reminds Gato to say "thank you" ("gracias"), but instead, Gato just says "you're welcome" ("de nada") and burps. Perro teaches him to say "excuse me" ("disculpa"). Perro then burps even louder than Gato.

Grooming, Aseo[]

Perro and Gato are playing baseball. Perro pitches the ball and Gato knocks it out of the park. Gato trudges to the bases slowly while Perro waits for the ball to fall until he gets impatient and fetches a hot dog, which causes Gato to dash over to the fourth base. It was a fun game, but now Gato and Perro are all dirty. Gato tries to lick himself as a normal cat would, but Perro suggests that they need to wash up with soap and water.

They go inside to the bathroom sink where Perro teaches Gato that it's important to wash your hands and face (cara), and he sings a washing song in Spanish while cleaning himself up. And then he gets Gato and also cleans him up, this time singing the song in English. When Gato rinses in the bathtub, his fur gets ruined so Perro dries it off with a hairdryer, and also gives Gato a comb (peine) to comb it back together. He combs it into an Elvis Presley hairdo, an Arnold Schwarzenegger hairdo complete with muscles, and another one until he shakes himself back to his original look. Finally, because they ate a box of cookies before the baseball game, Perro suggests they brush their teeth. He asks Gato if he has his toothbrush (cepillo de dientes), and so he gives him one too as well as a squirt of toothpaste (pasta dental). At first, Gato eats the toothpaste, but Perro gives him another squirt and they brush, rinse, and spit. Perro asks if this was fun, but Gato leaves to go to the backyard.
